AniDrop — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how AniDrop ("we", "our", or "the app") handles your information. AniDrop is an anime tracking app for iOS and iPadOS.

1. Who is responsible

The data controller is Gianni Grotto.

2. What data we collect

AniDrop collects only what is needed for the app to function. No analytics, no advertising, no third-party tracking.

We do not collect:

Your name, address, phone number, or any other contact data beyond email
Location data
Device identifiers used for tracking (IDFA, etc.)
Crash logs or analytics
Advertising data

3. Third-party services

AniDrop uses these third-party services. We do not share data with them beyond what is technically necessary.

Supabase (supabase.com) — hosts your account and anime list data. Servers located in the EU.
Jikan API (jikan.moe) — public, unauthenticated API that proxies MyAnimeList. AniDrop sends anime IDs and search queries to fetch metadata (titles, cover images, broadcast times). No user-identifying data is sent.
Apple Push Notification service — used only for local notifications you have explicitly enabled. No payload data is sent to Apple's servers.

4. Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Profile → Account → Delete Account). This removes:

Your account record on Supabase
Your anime list, watch history, reminders, and custom lists
Your profile and avatar

Locally cached data is removed when you uninstall the app.

5. Children's privacy

AniDrop is rated 12+ and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

Because data is stored in the EU, you have the following rights under the GDPR:

Access — request a copy of your data
Rectification — correct inaccurate data
Erasure — delete your account (also available in-app)
Restriction / objection — restrict processing
Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance.
